I'm sitting here on my ice cold sofa, watching Sunday Night Football, and I get to wondering: What would the world be like without music? I didn't just randomly think of this, but got to thinking of it while I was watching Carrie Underwood's Sunday Night Football theme song. That's right, Sunday Night Football has it's own theme song.

In my opinion, it's so amazing how embedded music is in today's culture. Everything from emotions to a place or event has a tie to music. This really makes me want to find new ways to use music to make companies more profitable. Yes, many companies already use a vast selection of music to promote their business and give themselves an image, but I would like to find a new way to use music in advertising. I'm not exactly sure what I mean by that at the moment, but I bet there will be a new use of music in advertising in the next ten years.

My passion for music makes me want to explore this and find an opportunity. Music marketing will never disappear and hasn't changed much in the past few years, which makes this a great time to explore the deeper meanings of what music actually means to consumers.

This website has some brilliant examples of using music to market. It talks more about how memories are triggered and how our emotions react to music.
